On the 7th of May 2021, the Vanuatu National Audit Office (VNAO) welcomed a courtesy visit from the current Public Accounts Committee (PAC). PAC were able to meet the staff and have a tour on how the auditors carry out their duties with a preview of the Audit software namely Teammate Plus. One of the key duties of PAC is to examine all reports of the Auditor-General (including reports of the results of efficiency audit) copies of which have been laid before Parliament; During the visit, Chairman of PAC, Member of Parliament, Hon.Seremaia Matai acknowledged the virtuous work done and express how the visit has implanted much significance and understanding on how VNAO plays a crucial function within Vanuatu through promoting accountability. The Chairman further stressed that going forward as part of their duty, PAC will closely monitor the workplan of the Office of the Auditor General.
